before the session.

As soon as you are interested in booking a session with me, send me an inquiry, an email or call so we can chat! We will hammer everything out as far as time and location and discuss the details of your session - so think about what type of "vibe" you're going for. I will usually ask if you prefer an urban setting (downtown, brick walls, etc) or if you'd prefer more of a park setting (trees, field, etc). If you don't have a preference, I will choose your location based off the outfits you plan on wearing. All of the locations I choose are local. If you have a specific setting you'd like for your session, I'm 100% here for it. I am ALL for non-traditional settings! As far as the session time goes, I prefer evening as the lighting is best an hour before sunset (golden hour, baby!). HOWEVER, I am very flexible with times so if there is a specific time you need, we'll make it happen!

Once we are satisfied with the arrangements, you will pay your non-refundable retainer fee and I will send you a contract for you to electronically sign. I am available for any questions or new ideas you come across before the session. Send me all of your photo ideas, your whole Pinterest board, inspo screenshots - all of it!

during the session.

Time will vary for each photo session. We will meet at the chosen location at the scheduled time and warm-up with a few test shots to ease into the session.

I love to see natural smiles flow effortlessly and, you guys, I promise these sessions are FUN! This isn't your typical "sit and pose" session. Of course we will get those obligatory posed shots, but we will be more focused on laughing, dancing, being silly - anything that makes you naturally HAPPY. Bring things that make you smile. Think about things that make you happy. If your kids are being wild, we're going to capture it. We're going to laugh with them. I'm here to capture who you truly are. These are the moments you're going to look back on later down the road.

• If you have young children, feel free to bring anything that will keep them happy as well [e.g. non-messy snacks (cheerios or Smarties), clear juice, favorite toy, etc.]
• Please take the weather into consideration. If it is hot, you may want to bring a water bottle; If it is cold, maybe a jacket to wear between shots.
• If you're booking a family session, please keep in mind I have 2 young children of my own - I'm used to the chaos and to be quite frank, I thrive off it.
• Before you ask...YES, all animals are welcome!
• Please feel free to bring any props that you feel may enhance your shoot (I’ve had people bring sunglasses, hats, bicycles, and signs)

My focus is on capturing candid moments with real emotion. Trust me as your photographer - I will be here to guide you through your session and help make things stress-free!

Now for the best part - VIEWING YOUR PHOTOS!

My goal is to present you with beautiful, everlasting photographs that will mark a special moment in your lives. Once I have gone through and edited our best shots, I will email you a link to access your online gallery. From there, you will be able to download your images and share the gallery with friends and family.
